The VIN plate (chassis plate) should be firmly fixed to the vehicle ie, rivets, welded.

 

Should be made of a durable material, ie metal

 

Should be easily accessible to the IVA tester

 

Stamped characters should be at least 4mm high

 

Should be no longer than 17 characters long.
