Well 10 months into my 5EXI experience I'm giving up, I just don't have the time to build this car, In the past three months I've managed to fit 2 bulkheads...
So in an effort to get on some track days next year the kit has to go.....
Thankfully it's going to Marlin who are going to build it for me..
I konw its cheating really, but I always wanted the car just to get on some track days, I have so little spare time that its gonna take me years to build it and thats time I could be sprinting round donnington or cadwell
All being well it'll be going back to Marlin after Christmas and will be ready early spring, just in time for some Honda powered fun...
Don't quote me on this, but I think there are less the 10 on the road in total.
First home built one was a mechanic who finished it within 3 months (yellow iirc).
Dan, sorry to hear you are letting Marlin complete it for you.
I have been in a similar situation in that finding the time to work on the car is getting very difficult. I have started doing photography work most weekends too now.
However I am determined to finish it myself . . . even if it does take years!
It is definitely Cheating
But if you aint got the time it is the best alternative to get marlin to build it
It also make me the only 5EXI-R Builder
I just got to try and get mine on the road before Marlin finish Yours
Don't think you'll have any worries getting yours finished first. At the rate your going it'll be finished next week...
Infact, once your cars done, you'll probably get itchy fingers, how about I bring my kit down and leave you to it....

Nope there are a couple of us building 5EXI-R's. But you could be the first to complete. Though I am getting Marlin to fit the body so I suppose it's kind of one less.
Im not the only one thank god for that
I dont think i will have the time to finish yours dan
I will be spending all my spare time after building it Driving it around
