Ebay items on the forum

Hopefully you will have noticed a new feature on the forum which displays some ebay auction listings.

We noticed that you guys seem to use ebay a lot when searching for items for your kits so we thought a nice feature would be to bring Ebay to Madabout.

We have integrated ebay listings that are relevant to the kit car topic or to the donor car that you are using, for example the General Chat section will display listings to do with the sale of kit cars themselves and kit car parts. Marlin 5exi will list items to do with the Rover 200 or Honda Civic donor cars and Marlin Sportsters the BMW donors.

The ebay listings will only appear after the first post of each thread.

We hope you like it, it is in beta so we are open to comments and suggestions.

Could you perhaps move it to the bottom of the page (after the last post on the page), I personally find it a bit irritating when it breaks the thread up at the top. People would still see them when using the quick reply.

Might just take time to get use to though.

It annoyed me at first.

I'm glad the images change each time the page is loaded.

I agree it would look better after the last post. It would be seen more there too.

comments duly noted and taken on board. I think having the item appear at the bottom of the thread is a sound one (and probably on the bottom of each page of a thread) and we will look into it. It's quite a technical challenge but will keep you posted. We've just made a change so that the listings change each time you load a new page as well.
