Default DVLA initiative - Historic vehicles

A fried of mine in the classic car world has alerted me to a "policy clarification" by the DVLA regarding the registration status of Historic Vehicles as detailed in the FBHVCs latest newsletter (ISSUE 2) here https://www.fbhvc.co.uk/newsletter-archive
Amongst other things they are saying that
" any repair to a chassis or monocoque will be regarded as a modification and the vehicle will no longer be considered as historic"

This appears to be still under discussion and I for one am awaiting the outcome. In the meantime I will be very careful when driving my Historic tax status kit car on the road
