Default First Solo drive

What a fantastic day I've had. Woke up this morning, sun shining. Pulled the 5exi out of the garage and spent nearly all day touring the Northamptonshire countryside, you just can't beat it, sun out, roof off and some great country roads.... still got a grin on my face hours later....
Think I might enjoy owning this car....

Tell us more Dan,

lets have your road test report ala Jeremy Clarkson.
I actually drove your silver demo car a couple of years ago, I travelled all the way from Teesside to demo the turbo demonstrater only to find it was in bits getting an exhaust mod.
I ended up driving the silver car which wasn't properly finished, but it was pretty impressive.
The first thing I remember was how little wind/buffeting there was compared to my Sportster.

I think that makes 5 or so 5exis registered and on the road now, I think it would look great at one of the summer shows to see them all lined up together.

best regards
Brian

Well you beat me to it Dan...I should have the necessary paperwork on Monday to tax it and get plates made up! :-)

Just for the record my car is the 7th to make it "on the road"...

Cheers,

John

I'll devise a road test report, on my lunch hour tommorrow...
I didn't beat you to it really john. You built your car. I cheated and bought a finished one...
But I can say that for everyone thats building one of these, keep ploding along, as the finished article is ohh so good.

Nice one Dan.

Your 'old' car is coming along nicely now....as you say 'keep plodding' seems to be the best approach.

Waiting for a few bits and bobs to come from Marlin but all being well I could have a rolling chassis by end of Jan!

.....setting up my website so I can post some pictures of progress. Still managing to keep building in the single garage - it forces me to be tidy and very methodical

Rich

Glad to hear its all going well Rich. I just need to ring Marlin now and get a fat boy seat ordered and It'll be perfect..
Looks like the cars also going to DVA Power around March time, for a wee bit of engine tuning...
