Yes a lot easier! make sure your in a warm environment and use a heat gun (not a hair drier) try to avoid the cheap stuff on eBay, it tends to be very thin and the adhesive is weak, I find the hexis vinyl to be one of the best, great value and easy to work with

These are the stripes down the side,

I think your talking about knifeless tape, wrapcut pro is pretty good and available from mdp for about £12 (I know as we badgered them into stocking it) great for straight lines or slight curves, I noticed a few eBay sellers were selling it for twice that
what colour vinyl are you after? Only asking as I might be able to cut you a deal on some top quality leftovers.

Although the car is now my daily drive there is still much more to be done
jobs still to do....
Exhaust system
door seals
front grill
rear grills
bonnet stops (bonnet sits slightly too low at the front)
fit rear speakers
interior mods
wire up heated rear screen

Looks great, and I like the graphics and stripes.
I actually saw a 50 foot gin palace being wrapped last week! Amazing! Going from white to blue. Apparently it's becoming popular because of the restrictions on using two pack paints in the open, more in Europe than here though.
