Well I have had my inspection. I used a company called Interceptor www.interceptor.org.uk to take me there. They have a covered transporter and it was the same price as "Man and trailer".

The DVLA just checked the engine and chassis numbers and told me I will get an age related plate. It took all of 5 minutes.... They didn't ask for the MOT and I forgot to give it to them so I hope that doesn't hold anything up. Just waiting for a letter now......

I have his invoice at home. I will look up his number this evening.

There is a "ring" of these transport guys. There is a web site where you can enter your requirements and get quotes back. Sorry I can't remember the URL but I found it using Google so I guess you should be able to do the same.

Edit:

I think I started from here http://www.cartransportbroker.co.uk/

Thanks Robin - Have registered my details on the broker website, an will give 'Kevin' a ring tomorrow.

Waiting on forms to arrive as well - would have picked them up at lunch time from Bedford Road, but apparently the DVLA is suffering industrial action today and tomorrow according to the call centre at Swansea.

Don't civil servants get paid enough already?
