Here's what happens to the months of work involved in making the buck from which the 275 moulds are made:
It's only GRP, filler, wood, hot glue, cardboard, overalls, rubber gloves......

F*@KING HELL Lucky ...give them a chance ...inbetween a huge list of orders , special requests , customer liason , enquiries , emails , phonecalls etc...I think the guys at Tribute occasionally take breaks for food and sleep as well as the odd day off with family too .....the cheeky , selfish bastards !!
You cant even begin to create the convertible without having the first set of moulds finished ...and within a couple of hours of showing pictures of the broken buck ...not the finished mould which still needs work to be production ready ...you are on their case about the convertible !!

THEN GET BACK ON THEIR CASE IN 2 WEEKS TIME THEN !!
Chris and Dan are far too professional to comment on here and far more diplomatic than me ...
They aren't a public service being funded by the taxpayer , they are 2 guys , sometimes 3 , who work very hard trying to keep the orders flowing , whilst creating new products , AS AND WHEN THEY CAN ...If they were a govt funded organisation , you can hassle them ,if you'd put your money on the table and been promises a deadline , feel free to hassle them.... as private individuals making no promises , its unfair to hassle them ..Chris certainly doesnt need the stress ...
I don't know what you do for a living , but someone stood over your shoulder shouting , ''come on , hurry up'' constantly , when you are working your nuts off would get on your tits wouldn't it ...?

If I was Chris or Dan I wouldn't be in a hurry to make another model until I had a deposit paid or all the paying work had been finished and I had nothing better to do.

Tribute like to post little snippets of info , one minute the photos of the nearly completed buck , next the mould being taken only to follow up with buck being cut up and in the skip ! I can only imagine things are moving at quite a pace !

glad to see you have extended their deadline by 14-15 weeks ..thats a heap of stress lifted from their shoulders ....
Best way to see the results you are looking for ? put a deposit on the table ...you know what it's going to look like from previous models etc..you know the type of kit , quality etc..so no need to wait ...book early !!

Like I said in a previous post , I am tempted to place an order !
The last time I spoke to Dan ( at Stoneliegh ) he said the best thing about his job was developing new models even though that in itself wasn't the money making side of things.

I've got to say that to me this is the best kit that Tribute has come up with.
Can't wait till it's available to order.
Not interested in the convertible just the hard top with swooping lines for me.
Just waiting now for Dan to give details and then I'll order.
Quick question , I've moved to the US so Z3's are okay for me to find , but is there any difference in fitting between left and right hand drive cars?
Also I may have missed it but are there any pics of the finished car?

You need to talk to Dan at Tribute . The last photos were 2 or 3 weeks ago so there might be more progress . I'm not sure if they will be kitting the hard top coupe , that was going to be a one off and the convertible was to be the available kit. Again , have a chat with Dan now he is going to be the main contact for this model , the plans might have changed.

Previous Tribute Z3 based kits have simply replaced existing exterior body panels, so LHD / RHD makes no difference.
E.g. There is a German LHD Z3 under this Kobra kit.
I am sure Dan will be able to confirm this before you place an order.
Good luck, Paul.

The 275 project will be passing into Dan's hands for production , sales and marketing, under his "OLD No.7" company name. More info to follow soon, along with a new forum section too.....

Sorry , I can't help myself ! Lots of snippets of info from Tribute followed by a month of nothing being posted . The 275 is likely to be the best kit to date from Chris and Dan , I will be placing an order as soon as my current project is complete.
Anyway , I thought we were all being civilised to each other after all the ranting and toys being thrown every where earlier in the year !
