Company Changes
As of last week , the G46 concept now belongs to Gaz Davies from Warrington.
I understand that it will be sold under the existing Sammio banner but Gaz or Andy may want to clarify this......
As part of Gaz's dealings , he now owns the Patrice G46 that resides in our shop at present.
THIS WILL NOT EFFECT ONGOING ORDERS......In the same way that the Spyder and Cordite exchange hasn't disrupted things , the G46 can be collected from down here or up there...
So where does that leave us ?
Well we are still manufacturing the kits at present , we have some ''kit fit'' jobs to do and will still offer this service to buyers.
We are going to build examples to sell ....Giving me a chance to be creative !
and I have a few things up my sleeve that we will be doing...
What we won't be doing now , unfortunately , is building one off or special stuff for customers. As a result of recent events ( not saying any more ) we will not offer anything modified...we have a long tail to do next week and thats it.
Also , as part of becoming a real business and accepting that giving lots of hours and freebies to people is a thankless task , I am afraid that a strict labour rate of 35 quid an hour will be enforced on all jobs unless a written quote is given. This applies to getting peoples cars registered here in Poole as well......I am still very happy to do it for people but it will be treated as a job just like everything else in the workshop.
( Ironically , it was a recent complaining customer that f*cked up the free inspections last time I dug my heels in ! )
Apologies to anyone who may be affected by my policy changes but its been a long , hard ,expensive , tiring 3 years and we need to join the real world again....

Hmm, so who do I sue when I can't get my heater to work - Gary, Andy or Gaz?

Yes. Yesss! And then I could sue the keyboard manufacturer when I get repetitive strain injury from typing too many fatuous replies on madabout...

Just to let people who only see these announcements on the forum, I am due to get my G46 shortly and have been kept informed of progress and the changes via PRIVATE MESSAGES.
I am HAPPY with this and HAPPY with the whole process so far.
If I wasn't I would complain PRIVATELY rather than on a public forum.
Just advice to anyone who thinks they are having problems.
Anyway, crack on Gary and keep up the good work (paid work now!)

Thanks for putting the news out there Gary. I've been fairly quiet on the forum as late other than the new Cordite Demonstrator thread but have been following events closely. Had to really hold back on the latest tirade but managed to reign myself in.
As far as the business goes, Gaz Davies and I will be working very closely (we both now have units at the same address) and although the G46 will be under Gaz' control and the 'smaller' models will be mine, we will be sharing resource and advertising space, retaining the Sammio banner in respect to Gary's designs. It just wouldn't make sense to do otherwise.
We've just had a very constructive meeting (pint) discussing possible ways forwards and are both of the same mind in our ideas to grow the 'Brand' so watch this space. You will hear of our plans here first.

Gaz - Congratulations.
When the dust has settled I'll update the useful links thread with all the new details.
Gary - I really hope this lets you get your life back in order.
As others have said, there is nothing wrong with charging for your time & effort.
Take care, Paul.

Hi Gary,
Glad you are well and I note your new business plan and good luck with that.
I hope my square-wheel arched G46 (the 'Olympic Special') is not causing too many problems!
Cheers!

Never a dull moment at yours, followed some of the crap going on as if life's not difficult enough without dick heads winding you up.
Hope all goes well and you are there for inspiration when I get back to work on the G46, I have to say taking good long looks at the car in the garage as we are working on the Falcon, it's design (your design) looks better and better as time passes and the amount of people who ask what it is are all ways full of praise.
Now you say you are not taking any build projects but you want to be creative, I have an idea and it was at the back of my mind when I bought the SE5 and that was to craft the estate back onto an XJS to make a shooting break ala eventer what do you think?
Good luck
Peter
