It means that a force of 330lb will compress the spring 1". So, if you had 230lb springs before, then an additional 100lb will be required to obtain the same 1" compression. Everything is approximate...

I agree - bringing the old lumps of metal back to near-new state and then adding new bolts, bushes and bearings is very rewarding. I like the red/black combination. Looking good.
