The car was a lot of work, and for the price was worth it. My extra costs came as a result of wanting a very high spec car. The car is phenomenal, but i would never do anything like this again. |

Good, But no where near as simple as they make out, after sales service is slim to none and if you dont have metal snips then you will never make the panels fit. Apart from that good clean fun. |

Bought as a first time kit build because everything was either in the kit or sourced from one donor. Quality of just about everything supplied except the chassis was poor. Despite manufacturers claims extensive fabrication and modification was needed to make it all fit. Successfully completing a 2B would be impossible without the help of the owners club (RHOCAR) and the self help YAHOO group.
But, - it looks great in stainless finish, - goes like stink with a modded 2.1, and handles well enough on public roads. Definitely good value, and could probably be on the road for £3000. |

good looking car, I have competed in sprints and hillclimbs, win in class and 5th overall in wigton motor club against caterhams, westies and other kits although slightly under powered |

I built the car over a period of 4 months, working every evening, weekend, plus I had a full 2weeks holiday which was spent doing the car. 600 hours up to SVA. 200 hours with tools and 400 scratching head, putting on plasters and drinking tea/beer. GREAT value for money. still spend a lot of time and money doing upgrades. Trying at present to work out how I can get my V8 to fit. |

Do not purchase a Robin Hood if you think that it is just a bolt together exercise. There are many brackets and add-ons to fabricate and welding skills are very handy but not absolutely essential. Some of the assembly is very fiddly and takes much trial and error to get things in the right place before they can be fixed.
Still, a good choice if you have good automotive and metalworking skills and the finished product really turns heads even when parked on my drive. |

Piece of piss...... not. A bit of a nightmare. Building this car is literally like starring on Scrapyard challenge!! Ignore all of your mechanical knowledge, grab an angle grinder and enjoy!! I wouldnt recommend this kit unless you have full toolroom facilities, in order to manufacture the thousands of spacers, shims and packers requiered to build the car to an acceptable standard, but hey, it is probably the cheapest around and the chassis looks nice.......... |

The car was complex but enjoyable 2 build, it was a good kit for me as a first time builder but i did need some assistance. There is alot of fabrication envolved (all pannels were no where near the correct size and they had to be made to fit) another fault was that the rear of the frame was about an inch over to the right, which ment that the wheels were majorly out of line. But i would recoment the kit, because when fished you forget the pain it has put you through and u enjoy the fun. (although do not go to the man on the video for advice, he is useless), go on build a one!!! |

The best Kit car for those who want a challenge. The kit is comprehensive but basic. You dont need extras to complete but new seats, wheels, instruments are niceties. You will come accross problems but a good help line guides you through. Once built you may keep this car forever. If you want top of the range performance, interior, ease of assembly, buy something else. If you want something you have really built to be proud of then buy a Robin Hood. |

not a bad kit for the price, my main grouch is the pannels, but hey for £1400 what do you expect. mine would have been easier if i fitted a standard engine, could have been done in three months!
you need much more skill to build this than any westfield due to more building to do yourself |

The build was a nightmare !! You will need to be proficient at kit building and have a lot of patience if attempting to build one !!! |
