Fitted
Operational
Show MPH increments
Increments cannot be greater than 20mph each
Has to be capable of displaying up to the maximum stated speed of the vehicle
Must be visible at all times (ie view not permanently blocked or not illuminated at night)
Must not indicate a speed below the true speed between 35 to 70mph
Must not indicate a speed above the true speed within permitted tolerances
Speedometer tolerances
Between 35mph and 70mph the indicated speed of the speedometer must not be below the true speed (measured by the nice kind IVA man)
The indicated speed of the speedometer must not be over the permitted tolerance as shown in the below table
