Do tyres have to display any markings to pass IVA?

Do tyres have to display any markings to pass IVA

Yes.

Tyres should show an ‘e’ or ‘E’ approval mark or British Standard mark for re-tread tyres. If the tyres don’t show any recognised approval marking but display other approval marks then it is up to the submitter to provide the necessary documentation to prove that they offer equivalent standard ratings.

A tyre doesn’t need to show an ‘e’ or ‘E’ mark if it shows a rating of VR or ZR

A tyre must also show permanent markings for;

Nominal size
Construction type
Load capacity
Speed capability

Again if some of this information is not on the tyre then the submitter, ie you, must provide documentary evidence that the tyre does meet the required standards.
