hmm My setup was the same. I had an older version installed as well and worked ok.
I'm assuming you have admin access when you log on to XP. I would uninstall older version (Start\All Programs\MGRover\uninstaller). Then try to install newer version.
Have you got MSN Messenger? If not download (
http://get.live.com/messenger/overview)it and set up. Then at a good time, I can connect to your machine and see what's going on.
