Hammy, whats going on we need updates!
|
Had a week working at it but the sad news is there was no way of getting the rear overhang behind the rear wheels to look right:-(
Pretty much as Chris said tbh. I could have carried on but it would have not looked right without cutting (drastically) into the rear monocoque. Sorry guys but it was worth a try. Sometimes it's better to know when to back out and fight another day. Thing is though I'm £500 up off the bits I sold from the shell but now have a dismantled shell in my garage lol |
Yes it was a good try. I have a stack of cut up fiberglass body parts that I've tried to fit to various cars and custom frames. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. But, for me, the fun is in seeing what can be worked out.

Totally agree mate, cheers

Still may try and make a front a la the MX5 Pit Crew if you know that old Skool conversion. In fact will probably see if Chris is interested!

Hammy - Sorry to hear that you couldn't make the Lotus project work. :icon_sad:
Take care, Paul. :) |
Sorry to read this. Was there any photos of the last stages ?
|
No mate, wasn't worth it.
|
Sad to hear that the project didn't make it.
“Remember the two benefits of failure. First, if you do fail, you learn what doesn't work; and second, the failure gives you the opportunity to try a new approach.” Better luck next time Hammy. |
Cheers mate

Any progress on this.
