Mooched around my local scrap yard today looking for cheap micra bonnet grills no luck, thinking about the boot spring situation found a couple of nice long gas struts cost me a fiver, have one fitted now mated to an old Pug 405 door hinge, boot now opens at a pull of the leaver, (did not want to spoil the lines with a catch). www.mx5parts.co,uk want nerly £60 for this, do not waste your money, there are better things to spend it on.

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...1-19202138.jpg, I told you so moment from Chris, no plate too low, saw a Masarati in London last week with similar low plate, just have to avoid speed humps.

Or just get a stick on plate and put it above the vents.

If you put your mounting screws a bit higher and in just the right place you could have

I was born in 71, but its two grand plus for a turbo, and I can not mis space plates due to where I have to park and work, these were a £20 bargin though. (would put black and silver plates but can't for the same reason, does not stop anyone else though).

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...1-23184530.jpg progress Keep the rubber stops and drill them out as spacers for the bonnet hinges.
