Does anyone have the blessing of an auto spark to confirm mounting the marlin swirlpot beside the battery as safe?

Apparently it passes the SVA - but that doesn't mean it's safe...

I am a (chartered) electrical engineer by profession and although I am not an auto electrician I know a thing or two. I have binned the Marlin swirl pot and am using one from SFC mounted on the engine side of the passenger footwell - well away from the battery - a safer solution (IMHO) of course...

Vindicator looked at various ways of using the marlin swirl pot and mounting it at the back (after they followed the build instructions and ran the fuel pipes like that) and eventually got their man to weld one to the bottom of the fuel tank...
