When are we going to see your s in paint then ?

Soooon.

That's a word a Jamaican receptionist used when we asked when the shower would be fixed in our Hotel room.

I'm not sure what it means but our shower wasn't fixed before we left Jamaica 14 years ago, and I suspect they're still telling guests that the man will come to fix it soooon.

I did a bit of sanding yesterday but I'm in the middle of a set of shifts which eats into car building time, plus it's blowing an absolute gale here today which turns my garage into a dust storm when I open the doors.

Will report on progress soooon. :pray2:

mikmiglia
18th April 2013, 18:13
Lol, well be sure to tape up your garage door shuts and brush some water on the the floor , that will help with the dust kicking up with the airline and your feet. You can rent front someone like Brandon hire an extractor with a long hose so pass that through the window and tape around to seal around the edges ..

Mike - Looking good & the grille works well.

As always, I'd love to see more photos of your doors & hinges (inside & out).

I know your doors are more solid than the ones I am working with.

But it would be good to see working doors to give me something to aim at.

Cheers, Paul. :)

Had a chance to prime the inside this week ready for trimming after body painted.

The Miglia is fully rewired and new brakes fitted and working plus running sweet as a nut. The engine is a triumph spitfire , and was rebuilt as was the gearbox plus overdrive. So overall a good week. next week going to the bodyshop for paint.

The dash will be trimmed in black leather as so the seats.

Nice work Mike. Looking very slick.

What rear lights are you using - they fit well and look period.

I am definitely coming down on Saturday to have a look and take some pictures to help me with mine! (which is currently no further forward unfortunately due to a role change at work and other jobs in the eveing and weekends!)

Just a thought but does the wheel block air flow through the radiator?

Well Gary , funny you should say that, but i think it will be good as there is alot of space for the airflow , and the wheel is not solid so the air will flow through it.
Also when i drive the car i will find out. The worst thing that could happen is i might need to fit a electric fan :icon_wink: Dont forget the Reliant scimatar has the spare wheel in front of the radiator..

P s me old mate, did you get my p m regarding your kit ?

Also Tony the rear lights are morris minor for stop and tail, the other red lights are lucas and they are the red flat glass versions, i think used on most early morris , british leyland cars.

The Miglia is a 1963 so i can have red flashing indecators , and clear flashing front lights.. A nice period look i think , i want to add period parts to take it away from the tipical kitcar halfords look .

Anyway just wondering with your new role change mate, how are the Ann Summers Parties doing ?

They must do a good selection of gear nobs for yours
