View Full Version : Tyre pressures?

Just ordered some tyres for my Spyder - 175/70/14's to fit my 4.5 x 14 MGB wires.

But what tyre pressures should I be using? :noidea:

From reading up on various enthusiast forums it seems that Triumph recommended 2psi lower on the front wheels than the back, but the advice given from different owners varies from 24/26 up to 30/32.

Can those of you lucky enough to be on the road already offer some sage advice please?

here's a simple way to establish initial tyre pressure settings for a lightened car.

Thanks Andy, quite an interesting read.

I think I'll have to experiment once my car's on the road as the chalk line test won't be effective due to the negative camber I've got on both front and rear wheels. Unfortunately the chalk will just wear off the inside edges first regardless of tyre pressure.
