Hi Roy,

Looking at the last list update, think the nearest to you are County Durham, North Norfolk or Hertfordshire at the moment? Hope you get as much grief as i did for being a foreigner from Margate  sure Gary can update on anything else closer to you,:spy: or keep an eye on the who is going where forum on upcoming events.

Hi Roy and welcome aboard.

Much as I love the old racing Porsches, Gary's own take on the Spyder just blew me away.

Before going down the 550 route, bear in mind a Vitesse comes with around 100bhp as standard and mine cost me virtually nothing once I'd sold off all the unwanted panels.

Work out how much you'd need to spend to get that sort of power out of a bug engine and you've pretty much got the budget for a finished Sammio Spyder.

Good luck whichever model you choose.

Hi Roy,

Welcome to the forum, I'm sure whatever you end up choosing you'll have as much fun (painting aside! :twitch:) building it as the rest of us.

Once I'm done I'll be up and around Bristol / S.Wales in it quite often, and there is a show around the Ross area that i want to go to next year so we may meet up there?

Failing that I'm sure there will be a few of us done ready for Stoneleigh!
