hiya, using a bike engine with chain drive to a diff,is it ok to have the engine above the diff so the chain is going directly downwards instead of backwards,i need to keep the leangth of my buggy as short as poss and locating the diff under my zx10 motor,im not sure the gearbox is designed for the stress being applyed downwards on the gearbox sprocket, shaft and cases? what do you think? thanks, andy.

I had a zzr1100 shoud be ok only the crank was weak in think . would have thought a v twin would have been better as more torque
