Sounds like a lot of work, although I'd have loved to have been able to modify my front slightly too if I'd had the skills.
Grille bits arrived and I roughly put it together to see if it fits tomorrow, it's gonna need alu welding next week
Yeah, gonna try the aluminium weld first on a test piece to see how it works

Unfortunately I'm just getting problems now, drove the car home again today and that damn rear wheel arch supports came off again - it's starting to get annoying now!!
I'm gonna have to arrange to have it taken back on a truck to try and get it fixed again
The arch supports my mechanic made are fine - it's the tabs that they are attached to that are spot welded to the rear brake drums that keep snapping off - I think the hubs might have to come off and get the tabs welded better. They feel strong but on a short journey over a few pot holes is enough to shake them to breaking point again
Paint is getting better, slowly. And grille is fitted (badly) how's yours coming along?
Hmm, not sure about the suspension stuff - as mine had already had those bits done when I got it. I did once buy a lowered front spring from 'Jigsaw racing' - it may be worth discussing options with them - they are the experts

yeah I have it re-booked in next week to get the arch mountings re-done, so hopefully they can sort it properly this time
Finally got her home again today, so tomorrow fingers crossed I'll be heading to a car show at Ragley hall

I haven't really got any pics - basically the rear arch is attached to 2 metal tabs that are welded to the rear brake drum plate - the welds on mine were only really tack welded on, and so kept snapping off as you went over potholes etc.
my mechanic friend has now welded them alot stronger (hopefully) so with any luck they will stay on now.
I got a part sand blasted the other day - guy charged me £5 to blast one part - it might be worth you shopping around for people that do this - the result was amazing!!
