I thought the boot lid wouldn't fit at first but after I trial fitted the seal its looking good though I did have a few problems with the hinges wonderful stuff fibreglass just fill the holes in and try again.

I also fitted the upper harness bolts (same problem as the hinges) oops!

the doors don't fit at all and will need some serious modifications to the hinges to get them right I think Scottie had the same problem?

I can't finish the inner panelling until the doors are fitted correctly as the locks and striker plates need to be fitted first.

Scottie\Paul I agree with what you say I am slowly building up the courage to cut the hinges. carrying on with some more panelling in the mean time photos to follow.

almost to the bottom then twist it up tack it and see if it fits probably several times.
the issue is that due to a total lack of planning it will have to be done in situ now the body is on I can't get the hinges off the frame.

so whilst building up my courage I have been making some of the panelling around the doors.

it fell of it made lining it up a bit harder but worked out ok.

I think that's what drew me to the kit in the first place and I'm adding lot's more rivets I won't know what to do with myself?

Sorry I didn't get to meet you guys and girls at Stoneleigh but I was only there for two hours when I had a call saying my mum had fallen over and was being taken into hospital so had to rush home she's broken her arm and hip . So all work has stopped on the car for the foreseeable future.

very fiddly to make this end panel after 4 attempts to fit it on the inside I gave up and fitted it on the out side I will have to use filler to make it flush with the body doh! I then realised that when panelled in I wouldn't be able to access the rear of it to fit the lock striker pin double doh! plan c . turn it into storage space.

I have also cut and welded the passenger door hinge jur a matter of lining it up now.

I used a Joddler Can't get the link to work but if you type in Joddler in eBay you'll see what they are best to get one with a hole punch as well. I think I'll give the rain channels a miss and use the moulded stick on seals instead.

Scottie if you mean the light pods? they will be glassed into place after the lips have been trimmed off.
Hoo pre moulded rubber seals they come in all shapes and sizes 'D' section 'L' section and so on they are available on line and at most of the car shows Woollies Europa etc. It may take a few tries but should negate the need for rain channels around the doors.

I then positioned them and taped them in place with masking tape and used glass fibre past to fix them in place sorry about the rubbish photos

I have also started on the fuel tank cover this was the rear cockpit panel but as I used alloy for that I hade to find a use for it or that's my excuse (on alloy left)

I started on the head fairings (ump's) today the drivers side should not be too difficult I have used small amounts of glass fibre paste to fix it too the body in the three places where it actually troche's the plan is then to fill it from the outside then glass fibre tape the inside, I didn't want the glass fibre pushing to the outside too difficult to sand too shape the ump's will also be used as storage space so I'll need a good finish on the inside.

the passenger side one is actually a drivers side one modified to fit ish and as you can see from the photos doesn't sit properly and slopes to the wrong side and will need major surgery (watch this space)

the bolts inside the ump's are for thee point harnesses and are in the right place believe it or not!
Thanks Paul you are right it looks as if I will have similar problems.
I taped over the join on the outside then filled from the inside this leaves a nice clean join with just a mall amount of filling and sanding

then I will sand the inside reinforce with woven glass fibre tape which it just so happens I have run out of so I sent for some today.
As Paul says the passenger side will be a little more difficult
