Although the car is now my daily drive there is still much more to be done
jobs still to do....
Exhaust system
door seals
front grill
rear grills
bonnet stops (bonnet sits slightly too low at the front)
fit rear speakers
interior mods
wire up heated rear screen
Thanks but no It's a pressed steel one
I may relocate it once the front grill is in
Gin palace? I'm not familiar with that phrase, is that like a castle full of booze?:-)
Oh That makes more sense!
Havnt added an update for a while, mainly because ive been having too much fun driving it!
got my pipes done yesterday, manifold back in stainless with a twin exit single box and a couple of upswept stainless tips, sounds sooooo much better and looks the part now!
now i just have some interior bits to tidy up before the stoneleigh show
Thanks, but it's not quite there yet!
Is there an award for the nicest exhaust note?
Decided to colour match the centre console to the outside of the car, hopefully it will look nice when fitted, otherwise i'll be peeling it back off!
they are indeed bmw 2002 lights, skip back a few pages and you'll see we played the "guess where my lights are from" game! a few months back,
I was originally going for the cortina lights as above, but they don't have the reversing light built in like the bmw lights
apparently they are also upside down according to axels picture
Exactly! That's the whole point!
Its been a while (7 years), my mx250 has been tucked away for the last 5 years, during the start of the covid apocalypse, I decided to get it back on the road.
Will get some pics uploaded in the next few days.
The bodywork has faired really well, no signs of corrosion on the underside, probably due to the fresh waxoyl I pumped in before it went into the garage.
Needed a new fuel pump to get it running again, aircon still works!
Not sure why my pictures aren't showing up?
