Doors
Well. I will keep my doors as they are there and paid for, and will make the car look more like I want it to.
But if you just wanted a Jag type car, which after all, was Chris's original idea, then I don't see a problem, unless you only have one leg or whatever!

Absence
Right! I have been offline for four days due to suffering a heart attack whilst working on my build.
With the deadline I gave myself, you can imagine this was irritating in the extreme.
Little consolation that the cardiologist Consultant told me he’d never seen such a healthy looking Patient after a heart attack!
However, it would appear that I’ve had a re-bore and re-con.
So should be good to complete the build. May have to extend the deadline a fraction though.
I am back home now, and will continue it.
I will post this now, then process the pictures I was unable to do at the time!

I really do want to finish it at least enough to be able to drive it to Stoneleigh, so I can park it next to the other one, (the only XKSS that ever goes there) The disbelieving look on his face when I said I'd ordered a shell off Chris, and would put it next to his at the next show!

Being off the scene. for a while has had the positive effect of allowing me to plan ahead, identify and solve problems, inasmuch as working out materials needed, strengths and sizes etc, so apart from the obvious, the time was not totally wasted.
That is not of course the car I am building...............

Seats
Hi Tony,
The seats I have are a lot simpler with no electrics, and my car interior will be so tight and cramped, (I LOVE it that way!) that the Jag seats would have been way too wide. (21 inches, my seat space is only around 16 inches
I only wanted the leather as a start point for the seats, I chucked the frames, runners and all the rest out, at 6 foot, I need my bum as close to the floor as I can get it and most likely have saved 5 inches or so doing what I've done.
I was even going to drop the floor at one stage, but the car is so low now, I would need tin underpants to keep my botty off the tarmac!
Whether or not you keep any of the steel bits will really depend on the internal width of your car, and what ride height you would like you head at?
I will have my 3 inches of bum foam on a flat bit of alloy on the floor and ditto for the back.
I'll make it fit me. so will not need adjusters or any complicated stuff. So it has to be mega-light also.
Tony, it just occurred to me that if you have good seats already in the car, which fit, work and adjust, then just take the seat squab and back squab out, strip the outer covers off and replace with the Jag ones.
You may have to chop a bit here and there of course.

Last seat stripped
Well, over the last couple of days I have been trying to catch up on admin tasks, and all the other things that get ignored when you are not present for a few days.
Could not face the cold tent, so I carried the last (best) jaguar seat into my lounge and stripped it from it's frame.
Really comfortable environment to work in!
Must do more of that!
