It was MrsWCA who finally swung the vote to black.
We were talking colour and I was showing her various pictures in Shades of red when she said "the red is okay but your cars are black, all your cars that are special are always black"
I hadn't really noticed but she is right so black it will be.
The remaining question is the wheels - powder coat black or silver or black with silver rim?
Good pictures to show the effect.
Black with silver rims is winning at the moment as they are easier to keep looking clean.
I do have two set of wheels so maybe the other set could be silver...
You were lucky to get those. I have heard that the CNTT G Spot" is notoriously difficult for men to find.
Do you get many cracks using one of them?
Back to the wheels...
Anyone seen or used trims like these?

I thought I could get the wheels powder coated plain black and clip the rim trim on to brighten things up.

The car is delivered to the paint shop and suddenly my garage looks very empty - except for all the bits I took off the car prior to paint.
Nothing to do now but wait...
Colin was kind enough to drop me home after I delivered the car and I almost changed my mind back from Black to Barchetta Rossa...
Waiting for it to appear on EBay
register it as a Maserati Z3 weedy 1.9 replica
Oi! Maserati Z3 manly 2.8 replica
Speed isn't everything.
When traveling at supersonic speeds in an airplane everything is normal and a bit dull.
The fun comes when the danger increases such as cornering, braking or driving anything that WCA has had a hand in building.
;-)
Sound much like my drive back from Tribute when I first picked up the car - except for the Lebanese radar and the vomiting
I will update the AGM Agenda on the Stonleigh thread...
[edit] AGM Agenda updated
Car paint is being finished in the morning!
Pictures for the weekend
More pictures when I have put the lights etc back on and can take it out on the road legally
Wheels - I am going to paint my other set silver and see which look best.
Keep tuned for the photos, your views do count
I think I agree about the silver wheels - I will be nipping up to Halfords for a rattle can shortly.
Number plates are vexing me at the moment.
I am thinking of getting one of those cheap Northern Irish plates so the car loses the age specific plate. Can't afford it right now.
This means I don't want to put stickers on it now and the replace them later. I know they are meant to be the same size so should just go over the top but I want to get the plate as small as I can.
All this is made more difficult as it needs to get through an MOT before the end of the month - I guess that a number plate on the front dash won't pass
Grrr... I can't get the bloody spinners undone to take the wheels off. Tapped on with a rubber camping mallet and won't budge when hit with a lump hammer.
Off to find a friends with a spinner spanner or proper padded hammer
Just finishing a bottle of Pinot Grigio in the bath. I will try again when I get out
