body panels

I am now beginning this task;there is quite a bit of trimming of front panels to consider.I am looking for ideas about closing the rear part of the car above the tank. I have an e30 chassis.Anyone done this yet? Have thought about exterior plywood, would this be substantial enough? Anybody got pics of their design ?Cheers

Marine grade ply is the best. Treated properly it will outlast the rest of the car! Not cheap though and if you don't live in a "boaty" area can sometimes be difficult to get in small pieces.

Exterior ply also OK but buy from a proper timber merchant - not a DIY store. Rule of thumb is the thinner the laminates the better. The stuff with three thick laminates and two thin ones (for the outsides) is normally rubbish.
