Just making the last few adjustments to the pedal box to I need to fit a throttle cable soon. I seem to remember the BMW one is to short - so what have you guys used. Do you have any pictures? - particularly the throttle body end.

see Patrick's thread below in September 2005 called Throttle cable length on BMW Sportsters. The Burton Power one is excellent value but fairly basic.
Mines the CBS one - a tad over priced really. Not connected it up properly at the engine end yet, I've just used the little U clamp that came with the Marlin hand brake cables until I can do it properly - I think silver solder will probably be the final version using the BMW adjuster part.
Solved the throtle cable issue. One from a 318 E30 fits perfectly and it was a tenner from GSF. Just need to mod the end of the pedal slightly to take the "hook" on the end on the BMW cable. Pictures posted tomorrow...
The big advantage of using the standard beemer cable is that it has built in adjustment and "bump stops" to stop you pushing the pedal to far. Also means if you ever break it you can get one "off the shelf".
The disadvatgae is that BMW seem to like square grommets so you have to make a square hole in the bulkhead which is a little more tricky than a round one...
I'll look at using the 318i part when ours need replacing (although i hope that will be many years from now...
