I am just making the final touches to my pedal box (mainly with a big hammer on the brake pedal lol) Has anyone fiitted a return spring to the brake pedal? Marlin don't mention this but it seems to be normal practicse. I assume that it just ensures there is no load on the servo when the brakes are "off".

Robin, I think I did, but can't remember how? I'll try and take a picture next time I'm down at the lock-up.

I hadn't planned to, but I have saved all the springs from the donor if its a good idea.

I had to move my brake pedal quite a lot to make room for my feet! It used to be straight:



Im thinking about adding thicker metal to the side where the clutch is as this seems to move alot when using the clutch.

OK, so I popped along to the lock up today.

Cranked my head under the steering column. No sign of any spring on the brake pedal. It seems that the "return" spring on the servo is sufficient to hold the pedal back.

However, I did fit a spring on the clutch pedal.
