Two Tributes for auction with Classic Car Auctions Saturday 1st June.
First is a nice Z3GT on a 2.8 donor built by Classic Coach Works.
Second is a 250 SWB again on a 2.8 donor. I wouldn't be surprised if this one gets pulled as there is numerous mentions of the F word in their description. Not sure how hot the F factory are at the moment but similar cars have been removed from other auction houses for the same reason!
Yes, just look up the results of the auction on the website.
I sold my Old No7 F***** 275 and Tribute Z3GT convertible through CCA. They generally get a sale for "interesting" cars but the fees are high.
When my Mini Beach car is finished I'm thinking of listing on Bring A Trailer. One off listing fee and that's it. They have a section for cars based in Europe and the yanks are keen to buy British built sports cars and specials it would appear. If you can offer to help with shipping arrangements that is a big plus for them.
I attended Tatton Park today and walked into the auction area as i really wanted to see the 250 SWB , this was my car , i sold it about 4 years ago (the second 250 i had) the car was not there i was told that the transporter that was bringing it had broken down . The Z3 GT was there but is still available so assume it did not get bid high enough , Geoff .
You can watch the footage of the auction on youtube. The Z3GT was bid to 17k I think. The 250SWB didn't even get a mention, the auctioneer just skipped to the following lot. It was pulled from the auction imo.
