Build pictures on Gallery

8 Jun 2006, 10:39am
Hi all...

Been a while since last post as I've been busy building.

I've uploaded 3 shots of the car onto the gallery if anyones interested.

1) Pre rolling chassis (on my custom built 1m high stands!)
2) Rolling chassis without engine
3) Body trial fit (Orange looks wicked!)

....If I can pull my finger out I reckon build completion and registration before end of July...that'll be 8months for build including donor strip...and just about manging to do it in a single garage and driveway!

I actually prefer the look of it without the windscreen (your body on pic), looks much sleeker. Wonder if a half screen would be a good compromise....:eusa_think:

Looks great mate. How about taking a picture of the engine bay.

...half screen...I agree it looks nice ....this helps with SVA too as no need for wipers etc....There is a problem though, roll cage needed for torsional rigidity, so bit of a clever redesign needed on this. One for Mark to ponder on at Marlin.

As for engine bay pics, I'll oblige as soon as I've set the hinges up on the rear body work (it's bolted on at the moment so I can't get in!)

P.S. I detest fitting GRP panels....panel fit and 'shut lines' a nightmare!! Particularly on the front clam to scuttle; can't seem to get the lines true without front clam touching scuttle moulding at each edge!!!Ahhhhh!

On your left near the top of the page is the navigation section. There you will see 'Picture Gallery', Click this then on the new page displayed go down the list until you find the Marlin 5exi link. Click this link and it will take you to the 5exi gallery.
