If you look at the advert he has 2. He has built one and extended the bonnet forward so that the safety crash panel can be retained. So it can be done.
I expect it would be cheaper to order direct from Tribute even after allowing for shipping.
I thought the front looked good but the more I look at it, the more I prefer the original Tribute.
Trouble is that I have looked at so many Tributes that I honestly think they look better than the originals!
I like the front and if it deals with their regs , thats cool ....
what isn't cool is the price and ethics ...
That converts to about 8.5k ...You could buy a Tribute kit and modify it for a lot less than that .
Also , if I'm reading this correctly , someone has ripped off Chris's product ....I don't like that ...for obvious reasons ...
From the advert it looks as if he bought 2 kits but has just modified his one to get around the regulations.
If you could afford it, it would make sense to buy 2 kits to save on the shipping and then sell one to help cover the cost.
I would imagine quite a bit of work and expense goes into the shipping.
If this is the case, with a bit of modification the 250 could be sold in Oz and NZ, whether it is worth it is another question. Cost of modifying and taking new moulds has to be considered as well as time which is what Chris seems to be short of.

Reading the ad I thought he was selling on the unstarted, unmodified kit. I don't know what the shipping charges would amount to for one kit and I don't know if exchange rates have changed much since he ordered his kits. If he is open to offers it might be a case of getting his money back for the one kit and covering his costs, shipping etc.
I'm not so keen on the extended front, the overhang of an additional 6" or so spoils to look for me.

It's always difficult to tell what a car looks like from a photo - too many photos taken with wide angle lenses! Years ago a friend saw 'kit cars' featured on Top Gear and told me he thought they all looked awful with bulbous front ends, and he took a lot of convincing that the photos (from wild low#down knee high with wide angle) were at fault!
Must admit like Lucky I thought he'd built his own missed version and is selling a stock kit - the pics shoe unmodified front it looks like. Also says all chrome and lights included I thought so probably not bad deal for someone over importing their own maybe? No idea what Oz taxes are
