I'm not sure whether you guys have picked up on the Government proposals to change the permitted emissions limits for Kit Cars at IVA, meaning that the engine age concessions will no longer be allowed. There is a lot of debate going on on the various forums, but I haven't seen it posted here, so please have a look at the summary of the situation provided on the Complete Kit Car Magazine website :

The consultation period is short (ends beginning of March), and everyone is urged to provide their feedback on the proposals to the DfT email address which is given in the above link.
These changes will have a very serious impact on people using older engines, particularly in a period replica context, or if you are currently mid-build and have spent a lot of money & time on your engine. Please read and act ASAP!!
