Hello mates just a heads up on engines, i've recenty seen a few cheap knock off's of Fastco Automotive engines . If your looking to see if an engine is a cheap knock off eg: looks very similar..... it's easy to tell a fake from the real deal.
On Chevy SB have a look just behind the altin where the block meets the head there is a pad were the original blocks VIN # was and now it is stamped with a new engine ID code # stamped by me with our company name , this # is on file & documented as one of our builds if you see this it the real Mcoy ..
There are also ID #'s hidden inside the block
