I am attempting to create a BMW Sportster Build Knowledge Base. The idea is that this will be a searchable list of topics - but not a full build manual. I will put in it stuff based on my own experience plus suitable stuff from other builders if they want to send me anything (I will decide what goes in it). The file is a .chm (Windows HTML help format for those techies) and anyone with a reasonabley up to date PC should be able to open it.
Here is a link to it (just copy and paste it in your browser)
Nice idea. And for those of us who have 'switched', cast off the evil Gatesian Empire and have aligned ourselves with Chairman Jobs, here's a .chm file reader for the Mac:
Looks as if it would be a good way to collaborate on an FAQ - and as it's web based, anyone should be able to use it. It could also become an embryonic online build manual...
