I found a new lock on ebay it got here and it was worse than mine just thinking is it worth drilling out the rivets to see if I can tighten up the spring . need to get it sorted before it goes for paint be a bugger if it want open after

has anyone taken the door lock solenoid apart on a Z3 the latch spring is shot on one of my doors so after its been locked it opens only when it feels like it.
