The Iceni car club have been organising this ride out now for 13 years, I've managed 11 so far, this will be my 12th. (I didn't know about the first one until after)
Lots of hot rods and American cars but anything interesting is welcome.
I'll be in the Tribute 250 coupe, Graham will probably be in his 250 spyder and hopefully Mr Towed will join us again this year in his Sammio Lancia.
Here's the details. 27th December. 13th Brass Monkey Run.
( NEW DESTINATION. A day out to the seaside away from the Christmas excesses. Leaving from The Ram (hot drinks and bacon butties available for the early birds) in Brandon (IP27 0AX). Travelling to Wells Town Football Club (hot n cold drinks and food will be available) on Beach Road. (NR23 1DR), stopping off at Waitrose, Swaffham (PE37 7HT) for fuel, food, or to freshen up. There will be a £3.50 charge for parking at the football club which will be going to charity, plenty of public parking close by ( a distance of just over 40 miles) ry.

Yep, the run leaves The Ram in Brandon at 10am, but refreshments are available for early birds so I'm aiming to get there for about nine to enjoy a bacon bap and a chin-wag.
Phil, see you at Stoke Ferry filling station as usual at about 8:30am?
I'll also get there about 9.00, along with Graham in his 250 Spyder and Pete in his Supercharged '36 Morris. For the same chat and eat reasons as above.
Weather looks good for tomorrow, should be sunny but breezy. Will be checking my car's ready this morning, tyre pressures, battery fully charged etc, so there's no last minute faffing about.
Fantastic turn out, I estimate that there were about 350 assorted classics, rods, Detroit iron, kit cars and specials, from the sublime -

One that caught my eye was this pastel green sit up and beg pop -
...which was running a rather sweet colour coded Maserati motor -
Phil was in fine fettle as usual and our cars both drew a lot of positive comments.
I was also told by at least twenty people that I must be bloody cold, and I'd have come back with a scathing and witty retort if my face hadn't been frozen solid.
Overall, a really great day out that was attended by enough enthusiasts to fill a football field -
Mr T - It does look like a good event and it is great to see your car out and about.
I did think of you as I was scraping the ice off my 'daily' to take my wife to the shops yesterday morning, as it was still -1 at 9am.
Which means I would definitely need to go up the night before to attend this.
( As driving in sub zero temperatures in the dark is not my idea of fun. )
