I'm probably going to get grilled for this question as have no idea about ecu's..


Ok can any ecu be remaped, programmed to do the basics?

I have a ford focus 1.6 with the se zetec engine, I would like to use it for a kit car project using the ecu and anything else that can be donated from the focus to keep cost's low.

Not knowing what to do with the ecu and miffed by senses and other components.. is there a easy alternative to getting rid of the tech to a simpler basic setup?...

If you just want an engine management system try Omec or Emerald , there are some others.
