Does anyone know where to get the little adapter "things" and remote reservoir from if you are using a standard BMW master cylinder?
I see Stuart has used it unmodified, but because of the angle it is mounted at, I think there is a danger of air getting into the system on hard braking or acceleration - it will be interesting to see what the SVA have to say about it...

If you use the original BMW master cylinder you need to fit the adaptor plate which turns the unti into the upright position this then shouldnt allow any air to get into the system.
If you need a remote system then Patrick has this and i believe he sourced it from Marlin. Or Car Builders Solutions [url]www.nfauto.co.uk[/url] do them £32 ea.

i got my remote brake fluid reservior from Marlin, but Stuart is right, it is identical to the one Car Builder Solutions sell.
I searched high and low for the little "adapter" things. I couldn't find anyone at the shows who knew where to get them.
Eventaully, I got them from Terry at Marlin. They are now listed on the last page of their price list and they are called Brake Master Cylinder Elbows (£3.30 each) ouch!

I used a bmw 735 (about the same age as an e30) remote reservoir from my local scrappy (oop's recycler). It looks like that's what was used on Marlins purple demo.
It's got three outputs so does the clutch as well.
I gave up looking for the elbows and also asked Marlin - got a couple on order now. Bit expensive at £3.30 each though. I was going to use the original reservoir and just mount it remotely - can anyone think of anything wrong with that?
Does anyone know what sort of pipe should be used to connect the reservoir to the master cylinder? I read on some other forum somewhere that someone had failed the SVA because they were using a remote reservoir but the pipe they had used wasn't marked correctly.
