Hello just joined the forum, im in the UK Essex, i purchased a Pontiac Fiero based ferrari 308 GTB in January, ive been restoring it for the last 4 months, ready for the MOT next week,will be showing at the Clacton Classic car show on
15th May. my question is,are there many of these cars in the UK? any member seen one at a kit car show?

Fiero based 308s are getting quite rare now, we sometimes see the odd one or two on the Italian Replica Club stand at Stoneleigh. I snapped these two in 2014 although they are chassis builds rather than donor based cars like yours.
Thanks for your reply and picture, 2 superb replicas, i wonder where they bought those door mirrors? i will post a picture of my 308 when its on the road,end of next week i hope.
This Fiero based example turned up on the Italian replica club stand at Stoneleigh at the weekend. Apparently it has been off the road for a while, the owner has done the oily bits, all he has to do now is get it resprayed.
It was called the SPM 286, and I had it stolen twice (and recuperated it on both occasions). In the end I sold it. You know what they say "third time lucky", for the thief that is.
SPM (Specialist Performance Mouldings) were base in Stonehouse and sold many Fiero/Ferrari style kits in the early 90`s.
