I am about to cut the bonnet vent on my 250swb and this will obviously leave the raw fibreglass edge.
How do I best cover it cosmetically but also to protect it?
My first thought was slap some uPol filler over it but will that be enough weather protection?
Also, the bonnet has two pins at the front and I have drilled holes for them to fit. I was planning on sticking a stainless steel washer either side of the hole for strength but again, what about the raw edge of glass. Will filler be enough especially as the pins will be rubbing against it. There doesn't seem to be enough room for a rubber grommet and even that might let water into the glassfibre.
