I spoke to Mark Mathews to understand his motive of fitting the floor pans later, the answer was, you can do them whenever you choose. His thoughts are it will make the build eaiser, my concerns are crawling around on my back riveting the pans on later. Can anyone tell me if they done their pans straight away, and if so was this a disadvantage. Otherwise I may go ahead and rivet now, althought I have put rivnuts along the centre tunnel section, as mark reccomended.
I did mine first. One reason it was because Which kit did it this way. Also I had the build trolleys. There is nothing installed. So you can just remove the roll cage, spin the chassis up side down and rivet away. So much easier.
Spent last Saturday riveting my nearside floor pan in place having finished the wiring and dash pre work.
I have found it easier for access during build to have the floor pans removed.....the riveting up wasn't too bad either although my build stands are 1 metre tall so plenty of clearance to get underneath.
In the end I think it's personal choice when to do it.
