Been working on the dash for the last few weeks! I went for stack gauges, savage aluminium switches and black glass Led warning lights ( that should be hidden in the dash by the leather trim and all you will see is the warning light when lit) once it is all finally complete!! It looks a little rough due to the fiberglass filler but once trimmed in black leather in hoping it will look pretty good! Some pics:
I will also have to radius the lower dash edge for IVA and make a centre column at some point!
looks good. where did you find those warning lights. I like the idea of them being stealth-ed into the dash.
I couldn't quite see in the photos but have you got your horn button between the centre gauges? I had in the back of my mind that there was rule that the horn must be operable with your hands on the wheel. I had a quick look in the IVA manual and can't see it so must have dreamed it.
The lights are from Car builder solutions. Pricey though!! I think they were around £16 each. The dash looks rough now, but im hoping it will look the part once trimmed! Thanks for the heads up
On the horn, I will look into that!
Yeah, it was more an IVA thing than MOT as lots of older cars have horns on the dash. Maybe it was SVA or, like I said, I just imagined reading it somewhere.
Dont remember where it is in the manaul but you have to be able to operate both horn and indicators without removing hands from wheel. And maybe the main/dip headlight switch as well although I am not 100% sure about that.
