The main purpose is to entertain you while I work out how to use the camera.
So far I know that I need to sort out the audio and learn what vertical and horizontal look like, although I might make slightly wonky camera angles my 'style' :-)

There are only a limited amount of pics of the z300 on the net so a lot of my design is just in my head.
I notice you returned to the z3 fuel filler and I think it looks neater.
Im awaiting Chris to finalise the details on the project but im pretty confident another z300 is about to be ordered.

Spend the time before you get your kit thinking about details.
My car is not exactly what you get in the replicas. Chris used mine as the prototype and improved some bits.
Look at the under bonnet pictures of mine and there is the original BMW bonnet sub frame and a load of badly applied glass. The glass was put on by me, not Tribute. The problem was that the nose flexed a little at the edge of the sub bonnet frame. Chris addressed this problem so you no longer need to use the heavy sub frame, or the walking stick to hold the bonnet up.
My boot lid is the BMW one cut to fit the shape. From memory this is now a custom made panel so no need to get the angle grinder out.
All just bits that Chris has improved.
The features that are fun are things like the front wing vents - do you want shark vents or slat vents?
Where are you going to put your side repeaters?
My lights are Frenched in, everyone else has gone for surface mounted. What are you doing?
I have round brake vents either side of the front grill - not sure if they are standard but they are good.
What about the bonnet bulge? I had a half moon vent cut into mine but Ian decided not to.
They are just the things I can think of immediately. How many more things can you think of?
Decide which bits you want to pay Chris to do and which bits you will try yourself. If you do it yourself then please practise before you f**k your bonnet up like I did.
What ever you do, dream your greatest dreams and then create them!!
I have built a couple of cars from scratch including the roadster in my avatar - finished in about 2012.
In fact this project has been in my head even when I built my roadster I just was waiting for things to fall into place.
I phoned Chris a couple of times recently and well spoke about bits and pieces hidden away in his workshop gathering dust .
Saturday I took the 2 1/2 hour drive that took 5 hours down to Dorset.
My son patiently waited while Chris and I chewed the fat and designed a car.
The 250 swb is beautiful and I would love one but circumstances means I don't have a place to build one.
The z300 looks a more suitable base. Just front and rear body sections.
However the rear will feature recessed lamps of a more modern styling and a recessed number place appature.
The front end is a different story - I envisage z300 with a grafted on section from another model but I will say no more until Chris has mulled it over.
As for details Chris is great with an "anything is possible" attitude and the brainstorming session gave us a few vey neat styling features.

+1 from me on that. I use the palette knife that's around when I'm adding filler to wedge the inside lever. Otherwise opening the bonnet would be a two person job. I'm guessing that the bonnet catches need uprated springs to lift the heavier weight of the grp front.
I like what you are doing here, but the text disappears quickly, and can I put in a request for different backing music?

I will change the music for the next one. It was the first free file I downloaded and just reused it.
I originally had the text and pictures up for 5 seconds instead of 3 but it seemed quite slow so I shortened it. I guess that is because I knew what it said so could read it more quickly. I will show it for longer on the next one.
