Steering Wheel and SVA

13 Feb 2006, 4:50pm
Hi

Can anyone tell me if a Momo Millenium steering wheel will pass SVA or do I need to fit an 'ugly' wheel for the test?

probably not as it doesn't have a centre pad...fit the rover standard item.

i failed on my first SVA visit on this very issue...

hi rich

Not quite sure on that specific wheel, but unless it has got very very good padding on the wheel centre that includeds around the horn push. don't risk it. It is very easy to swap them over after the test. They can be very picky about the steering wheels as i found out on my last kitcar, also the bigger the wheel the greater the area around it is not subject to edge regulations.

Steering wheel

Will probably go on the side of caution and use the rover wheel myself for SVA, I am tending to use what parts I can now for it like the old steel wheels ect, then do the fancy stuff.
