Stoneleigh 2015 - May 3rd & 4th

5 Jan 2015, 10:51am
I have just had the paperwork through to book the same stand as last year.

Who fancies sticking their car on display for 1, the other or both days?

Free entry for Kit Car drivers and passengers under 16. Over 16's are £10.

Fairly near the middle of the country for most people to get to. Great chance to see finished cars and however many new cars Chris has created by then.

Post your the days you think you will be there, if you want to stick you car on the stand (this means free parking near the main hall), how many will be coming and what you will be driving

I can hardly believe I'm reading this! If I had pressure to bring my car last year and failed miserably, imagine how I feel now!

It seems like only yesterday I was reading this same stuff, dated 2014 and wondering if I would make it!

I am not particularly religious, but Jesus H. Christ, can I feel some pressure on me now!!

I'll let you know WCA :-)

But Scottie - you were 80% complete last year - surely just another 60% to go
5 Jan 2015, 11:28am
I think you are spot on there WCA!

I am going to be there(hugely positive statement), my car will hopefully be at least in or near to final primer - so not stand worthy.

It would be good to finally meet you all though face to face! Scottie - I am hoping your car will be there and you obviously!

Cars in primer are welcome on the stand, last year we even had non-tribute on the club stand.
5 Jan 2015, 2:34pm
How about cars without even primer?? :-)
6 Jan 2015, 12:34pm
I shall be there. It's unlikely the car will be painted but I hope to have got the roof mods sorted with Chris by then so we could have an MX250LM on display - 2015's new Tribute model :-D

Well done for arranging this again Nick. You had a good turn out last year.
I'll be there, though in the SWB donor rather than the finished car rofl!!
6 Jan 2015, 4:06pm
I'll be there in a Tribute, which model? The whole weekend...
7 Jan 2015, 1:10pm
in the SWB donor

If Chris brings the kit up I am sure you can get it put together over the weekend...
7 Jan 2015, 1:15pm
WCA thats a great idea - like the Berini boys did at the Donnington show last year...
7 Jan 2015, 1:17pm
Just don't let Scottie get bogged down in the detail.... :-)

I think thats a great idea! Im sure it will be do-able with the quality of the tribute kits and excellent publicity! Has the moulding phase started on the SWB?

I have every intention of making it there again this year. ( work permitting)
I will be in my MX250 Spyder :)

Steve, you can have a kit at the end of Feb/start of March. That should give you loads of time to have it on the road, if not finished for Stoneleigh.

We will be booking are usual stand in Hall 1 shortly. Not sure what cars will be on it, but it will be full.

If all goes well with the kebab conversion, I'd like to be there. Only on the Monday though as I'm working on the Sunday.
Bob.

If anyone's looking for overnight accommodation at the show I can recommend the Three Horseshoes in Bubbenhall. It's less than 2 miles from the Stoneleigh entrance and the route misses the big queues. Accommodation is via chalets which overlook the car park for peace of mind if you're taking your pride and joy. The rooms were clean and tidy when I've stayed there, and their website states they've been recently refurbished too http://threehorseshoesinn.org.uk. The prices are very reasonable for b&b, there's a decent restaurant and a bar too.
I have no relationship other than as a satisfied, repeat customer.

Might check that out. My little tent was neither warm nor comfortable. The only good thing about it was the lack of driving made beer for breakfast lunch and dinner a pleasant reality.
