hi
heres my z3 ,already ordered kobra kit[thanks chris] and have been busy over christmas buying parts and selling motorcycles to clear more space.
anyway i have another question, just bought coil over kit from uknumberonetuningshop off ebay.
has anyone got info on fitting ,as they didnt come with paperwork.ie how much of the front original strut top do i retain.also does the adjuster go on top on the rear.any info would be appreciated.
hi sorry the oil cooler is also on ebay £26.
i have also bought the an10 fitings to go with it.i am going to use it to replace the horrible cooling bar that is used to cool the power steering.
Apologies for not being in time to offer any fitting advice on your coilovers, but it looks like you got on fine without it I have used the same make of coilovers and they seem very good barring in mind how little they cost.
I will give you a call next week to sort out a delivery date that suits you.
OK,nice one
i fitted the rears today[they may be fitted upside down]
but i think they,ll catch less crud round the adjuster this way up and they,re easier to adjust.
oh i treated her to some new discs and pads
yep,
i liked the look of the ones on the z3 M sport.
so i managed to find some similar for £300 secondhand and had some ching chong tyres wacked on for £133 for 4.

Nice wheels, 18's or 19's?
I thought the "Triangle" Super Slip Sliders I put on my B&W Kobra were "cost effective" at £199 for 4!!! Are your Ching Chongs made of rubber or cheese? All joking aside, they may not last as long as branded tyres but you inclined to have more "FUN" on cheap tyres
yep,
wet roundabouts and cheap tyres = backwards into the undergrowth.
changing the subject,if you get fed up of the english weather we have a villa in fuerteventura that we rent out to freinds and family.
25-30 degrees all year round,£150 a week for 2 people and you can get flights for as little as £35 each way.
our villa can be viewed on my wifes facebook page caroline dewhurst worcester will find it.
today was sunny again ,so after breakfast
1. i removed rear section of exhaust cut it open, took out all the baffles and welded it back up.sounds a bit deeper now ,not quite v8 though.
2.cut and welded ina couple of plates to fill where the mirrors were removed, ready for a skim, and new mounting holes.
3.removed the fuel filler, ready for the extension i will make,to mount filler on rear wing.
KIT CAME TODAY,
Thanks again chris.
like a fool i bought a set of roll hoops/bars off ebay, thinking i,d find mounting brackets and rear stowage to match easy.OH no i wont.breakers only wanted to sell me the whole lot £400-£375 etc.
anyway to cut a long story i,ve bought another z3 3.0 widebody facelift 2001,
for the bits i need ie hood ,roll hoop kit,..
the car is a genuine 35000 mile car, rear bumper and passenger quarter damage, but the engine/box excellent.
ive listed parts on ebay but if anybody is looking for doors, engine, etc let me know.
I really enjoy seeing other people annoying their neighbours by breaking cars on their driveways, mine hate me . My favourite was cutting a Fiat Punto in half one morning so I could roll it into a box trailer to take for scrap . I am not a member of the local Residents Association btw
before i could get going today ,i had to remove a lower control arm off of one z3 to replace a slightly bent one on mine.
next was to line up the door gaps to the fibre glass front end and fit the bonnet catches.
next up i removed the back half of exhaust system again cut out both boxes ,replaced the missing sections with 60mm tube.then welded on a nice new back box.
would have got alot more done, but i kept having to answer phone calls about parts on my donor car.
hi chris,
have you any pics of how you fit boot latch/lock thanks.
havent been able to crack on with car, because of work commitments but i,m back on it now.
