This is a read-only archive of the old Madabout Kitcars forum. New posts and replies are no longer possible, but every thread is still here to browse and read.
I have been going to this for years not being too far from it, and must say it has been getting less supported each year. Visitors and exhibitors. And I think you are probably right TKC live a couple of weeks later will not help.
I know you have your reasons Den and it's well documented and understandable but putting all that aside I think it would be a sad day if Which Kit disappeared (not saying it is going to of course)
I grew up and got into kitcars reading both magazines (and kit cars international) and have always liked which kits articles and layout (and still do). I've never had a preference for one or the other, I just regard them as a good read on a subject I'm in to. Maybe I'm being sentimental but I'd rather Which Kit (car) stayed on the scene.
There is critism that can be aired against both mags.
I am guessing that with Stafford show being less and less supported each year and the TKC event being within a few weeks of it, most manufacturers will only want to attend one show.
Most manufacturers find the costs of attending shows too much at the best of times.
If you were a manufacturer, which would you attend?
Well Mark,
In view of the history , that’s a truly astonishing question to put to me .
It was a general statement Den.
The point being, that there is much more interest from owners in the TKC event, so any manufacturer would be daft to chose Stafford over this. As most could only afford one event, it's a no-brainer!
