Jus bought another car out of frustration - boot liner advice
I have been running an old Isuzu TF pickup truck for a few years which is great apart from electricity keeps falling out (fecked alternator). Apparently this is a design feature and almost incurable. Last year I put some big cracks/smash pattern in the windscreen using a small child as a former (he wasn't hurt and shouldn't have been sat on the roof when I hit the brakes and then accelerated again).
Anyway, I finally got round to getting the screen fixed and was about to head off when the bl00dy thing wouldn't start again. Tired of this stupidity I went out and traded it for a Mercedes ML430 thinking this was basically the same. Unfortunately MrsWCA thinks it is nice and doesn;t want to ruin the carpet in the boot so I need a boot liner.
Anyone made a glass fibre boot liner?
What about wooden and then coated in boot liner which seems pretty tough (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JOXrpCLCJg)?
Any other suggestions?

Line the boot with small children that gather on the roof?
It was at the Big Bike Bash ([url]www.BigBikeBash.co.uk[/url]) that I created. I used to get 10-15 kids to stand in the back uf the pick up and then drive slowly through low hanging branches so they could scream and be excited.
One kid got over excited and climbed onto the roof. I told him to get down and he wouldn't. I sped up a little and then braked hard. He slid off the roof onto the bonnet. I thought he might hit the floor so I accelerated and his head went through the screen. Good save I thought, he was fine.
Mercedes will do a tailor made one for about a zillion pounds.
Failing that, measure the load space and buy a suitable off-cut of ridged rubber, which will be much easier to store than a solid fibreglass tray.
I like the boot liners made out of the sort of reinforced plastic sheet that modern tarpaulins are made from, they're cheap, durable and easy to clean.
I was wondering about making a liner out of carpet (we have some old stuff in the attic). Put the fluffy side down and paint the back of it with bed liner. That should give a flexible and strong surface which is reasonably easy to make to shape.
Anyone used bed liner and know if it would stick to hessan?
Another fibreglass project for ' Tribute? ' - If I go near Chris in this you with find Z3s and MX5 being rebodied as Tonka toys. I am scared to be near him in case he takes a mould! ;-)

You've got a load of bed liner paint left over and just want to get rid of it, haven't you.
