Anyone need some brand new drums?

17 Jun 2013, 9:12am
Bloody typical! ordered alfin drums from Canleys a couple of months ago and was told they would be put on back order, got fed up with waiting so bought 2 brsnd new drums last week so i could get the rear end finished, didint get to fit them due to the chocolate shoe hold down kit they supplied and now they have just called to say the alfin drums are now in stock and ready for despatch...grrrrrr
So does anyone want a pair of brand new rear drums, all i have done is cleaned off the shipping coating and painted the exteriors in VHT black to stop them rusting. They cost me £19.784 each plus VAt plus shipping but am happy for a forum member to take them off my hands for £40 delivered, any takers?

Sorry Mac, already got a pair of decent drums with my donor.

Out of interest, though, how much were the Alfins and can we have a picture please :)

They are lovely, and will be a planned upgrade once I get on the road.

Oh dear, there's saliva dribbling down my chin uncontrollably now. They're absolutely stunning. Just the small matter of the price. To quote Homer Simpson, perhaps I could sell one of my livers...

Didn't he also say that if it doesn't fall to pieces as you cross the finishing line it's over engineered?
